Advanced CNC Lathe Programmer/Set-up
This is an outstanding job opportunity with a growing
Precision Machine/Prototype Shop in Cortland, NY. We have a need for an
Advanced CNC Lathe Programer/set-up and possibly operator at times,
position. This position will work in a engineering/programming role and
set-up a variety of basic to advanced jobs for our CNC Lathe Fleet with the
possibility of running lathes when needed to verify the more complex
set-ups, etc..
1st shift offered but ability to work second is a
plus. Must know how to program and perform set-ups both basic and intricate.
Experience in CAD/CAM and Inventor a plus. 2 Axis minimum but multi Spindle
and Live Tooling experience a plus and preferred.
Possible training
role of employees and ensuring that all required processes are completed to
produce parts that meet quality and ISO standards. Must have solid QC
knowledge and how to perform in process Quality checks to assure part
tolerances are met.
• Interface with engineers, customers, production
personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly
problems.
• Advanced degree or professional certification preferred but
will consider work experience and practical experience participants as well.
Additional advanced education will be more heavily considered but field
knowledge is very important and will also be considered seriously for the
right candidate.

Inspection Technician

Job Description
Innovative Manufacturing Solutions has several openings in their Inspection department.
Job duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
•Select appropriate measuring instruments and measurement techniques for the job at hand.
•Set-up and inspect component
parts to the appropriate drawings, process sheets, and inspection instructions.
•Document inspection results in accordance with the appropriate Quality Assurance Procedure.
•Perform and document results of first article inspections.
•Utilize and operate all measuring equipment and instruments located within the machine shop and inspection locations.
•Ability to read and complete inspection ledger, inspection check sheet, operation sheet, discrepancy report (DR) and other
paperwork as necessary to comply with Quality Systems.
•Responsible for notifying supervisors when work received does not meet the specifications required by previous operators including paperwork requirements as observable.
•Perform 5S tasks as required.
•Responsible for returning all tools to their proper location at the end of the shift and cleaning work area.
•Proper use of all tools and gages necessary to complete and to verify that all work performed has been completed
to specifications as required.
•Perform other duties as required with the job classification.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required
•Minimum of 3 years prior work experience in a manufacturing or military environment performing machining, assembly, test, and/or inspection work. An Associate's Degree in a technical field such as drafting, designing, industrial production, or manufacturing engineering technology may be substituted for
work experience.

Quality Control Manager
Innovative Manufacturing Solutions, a precision prototype machine shop located in Cortland, NY has a need for an experienced quality control manager. The company has been in business for over eight years and is completing certification in ISO 9001:2009. Our customer base includes aerospace and automotive as well as wind energy and various others. We are housed in a facility equipped with cutting edge, state of the art machining and inspection
equipment.
The position will require a proven record of management experience in the quality aspects of precision machining.
Duties will include the planned utilization of inspection personnel to accomplish the following:

Review jobs with manufacturing and provide an inspection plan where required Programming of CMM equipment using PC-DIMIS software to assure efficient flow of jobs through the manufacturing process

Assure that first piece, in process, and final inspections are performed on a timely basis

Provide all data packets to customers when required
Customer source inspections

Review and develop check sheets

Assure all gages are calibrated per schedule Continually train employees to assure job growth in the department
